June 10, 2019 City Council Special Meeting Minutes
4:30 P.M.
A special meeting of the City Council of the City of International Falls, Minnesota, was held to meet in closed session in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building on Monday, the 10th day of June 2019, at the hour of 4:30 P.M.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Councilors Buller, Ditsch, Droba, Krause and Mayor Bob Anderson.
MEMBERS ABSENT: None.
OTHERS PRESENT: City Attorney Steve Shermoen, Fire Chief Adam Mannausau, City Administrator Ken Anderson, and Employment Law Attorney Susan Hansen of Madden Galanter Hansen, LLP, via phone.

CALL TO ORDER and CONVENE CLOSED MEETING |
Mayor Anderson called the special meeting to order at 4:37 P.M. Mayor Anderson announced that the City Council would proceed into a closed meeting session with the above listed personnel present. MOTION by Councilor Krause to recess the open meeting and move to close the meeting in accordance with Minnesota Statute 13D.05, Subd. 1 (d) attorney-client privilege via phone conference with legal counsel to consider position on employee grievances. Motion seconded by Councilor Buller and carried unanimously. |

RECONVENE OPEN SESSION |
MOTION by Councilor Krause to adjourn the closed session at 6:07 P.M. and reconvene the open session of the City Council special meeting. Motion seconded by Councilor Buller and carried unanimously. |

ADJOURNMENT |
MOTION by Councilor Krause to adjourn the special meeting of the City Council and open the Committee-of-the-Whole meeting at 6:08 P.M. Motion seconded by Councilor Ditsch and carried unanimously. |
