July 22, 2019 City Council Special Meeting Minutes
5:00 P.M.
A special meeting of the City Council of the City of International Falls, Minnesota, was held in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building on Monday, the 22th day of July 2019, at the hour of 5:00 P.M.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Councilors Buller, Droba, Krause and Mayor Anderson.
MEMBERS ABSENT: Councilor Ditsch.

APPROVED Second Reading and Final Adoption of Ordinance No. 32, 5th Series, Repealing Ordinance No. 31 and Enacting Revised Chapter 14 of the City Code Imposing a One Percent (1%) Local Sales and Use Tax |
MOTION by Councilor Droba approving Second Reading and Final Adoption of Ordinance No. 32, 5th Series, Repealing Ordinance No. 31 and Enacting Revised Chapter 14 of the City Code Imposing a One Percent (1%) Local Sales and Use Tax. Motion seconded by Councilor Krause. No public comment was received. City Administrator Anderson shared that he has not received any notification from the public with any concerns or questions. He said he informed the Department of Revenue that the first reading was held and the revised ordinance will be forwarded to them once Council approval has been obtained. Mayor Anderson stated that the Department of Revenue will be contacting the businesses informing them that they have been auto registered by the Department of Revenue. Further instructions will be provided to the City before the sales and use tax is implemented on October 1, 2019. Motion carried unanimously. |

Mayor Anderson reminded everyone that the next regular meeting is scheduled for Monday, August 5, 2019 at 4:30 P.M. The Mayor adjourned the special meeting at 5:05 P.M. |
