JOINT MEETING – CITY OF RANIER CITY COUNCIL and INTERNATIONAL FALLS BUDGET AND FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING

 

3:00 P.M. – Call to Order:

 

  1. Discuss basis for City of International Falls water rate charges to the City of Ranier.
    1. City of Ranier presentation/questions.
    2. City of International Falls position/response.
  2. Review draft resolution approving the 2020 Preliminary Budget and Levy.

CONVENE SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING

 

Mn Statute 13D.021 allows meetings to be conducted by telephone or other electronic means under the following conditions:

  1. The Mayor determined an in-person meeting or a meeting conducted under section 13D.02 is not

practical because of a health pandemic.

  1. The Mayor and all Councilors participating in the meeting can hear one another and can hear all

discussion.

  1. Attendance by the public is not feasible due to the health pandemic.
  2. At least one member of the City Council is physically present at the regular meeting, unless

unfeasible due to the health pandemic.

  1. All votes are conducted by roll call so each members’ vote on each issue can be identified and

recorded.

  1. Second and final reading of Contract Ordinance #971 for Pleasant Avenue Water Main Project (Council action)
  2. Human Resources Committee recommendation to hire Public Works Supervisor (Council action)
  3. Review, discuss, and adopt Resolution approving the 2021 Preliminary Budget and Levy (Council action)

The meeting will include a quorum (three or more) of the members of the City Council; however, no official actions of the City of International Falls City Council shall be taken at the Budget and Finance Committee meeting.
