A special meeting of the City Council of the City of International Falls, Minnesota was held in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building on the 26th day of July, 2021 at the hour of 5:01 P.M.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Councilors Ditsch, Holden, Krause and Mayor Droba.
MEMBERS ABSENT: Councilor Buller.
| APPROVED Second and Final Reading of Contract Ordinance #975, accepting the lowest responsible bid for the 22nd Street Reconstruction and Highway Lane Reconstruction including bid alternates to Wagner Construction, in the amount of $1,551,057.50. | Mayor Droba noted he called a special meeting after speaking with the Director of Public Works following the July 19, 2021 City Council meeting where this item was tabled. It was determined that this project is in jeopardy of losing its grant funding if it does not commence work on the project very soon. City Administrator Bergstrom noted that the Director of Public Works is working with the property owner that had concerns about the project.
MOTION by Councilor Krause to approve the second and final reading of Contract Ordinance #975, accepting the lowest responsible bid for the 22nd Street Reconstruction and Highway Lane Reconstruction Projection, including the Main Avenue South Bid Alternate and Court Lane Bid Alternate to Wagner Construction., in the amount of $1,551,057.50. Motion seconded by Councilor Ditsch and carried unanimously. |
