PAYMENT OF CLAIMS AND APPROVAL FOR PAYMENT OF ACCOUNTS PAYABLE

  1. Adopt Resolution No. __-2025, Approving Transfers, Payment of Claims and Accounts Payable (Council action)

CONSENT AGENDA  The Consent Agenda allows the City Council to take action on routine matters by one motion that shall not be debated and shall be adopted by unanimous vote of those present.  Any individual Council member may remove an item from the Consent Agenda for discussion on the regular agenda.  (Council action)

NEW BUSINESS

  1. Authorize the Police Department to use Smokey Bear Park for National Night Out activities from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 – Mike Kostiuk, Chief of Police (Council action)
  2. Committee-of-the-Whole recommendation(s):
    1. Consider first reading of Ordinance authorizing the Housing and Redevelopment Authority in and for the City of International Falls to exercise the powers under Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 462C, on behalf of the City of International Falls (Council action)
    2. Approve moving forward with Kraus Anderson for renovation of the Kootasca Building for the Police Department, for Design and Construction Services through Project Completion (Council action)
    3. Consider and approve lease renewal options for Police Department space at Backus (Council action)
  3. Adopt Resolution No. __-2025 approving transfer of funds from Fund 250  Sales and Use Tax Fund to Fund 450 Sales Tax Construction Accounts (Council action)
  4. Approve Order of Removal or Repair in the Matter of Hazardous Building located at 2210 3rd Avenue W – City Attorney Nelson (Council action)
  5. Consider letter of support for the Voyageur Country ATV Club’s Federal Recreational Trail Program, 2025 Trail Grant Application (Council action)
  6. Any other business.
