City of International Falls – Special City Council Meeting

5:30 P.M., Monday, July 27, 2020 immediately following Pubic Hearing    

Council Chambers, Municipal Building, 600 Fourth Street

 

Mn Statute 13D.021 allows meetings to be conducted by telephone or other electronic means under the following conditions:

  1. The Mayor determined an in-person meeting or a meeting conducted under section 13D.02 is not

practical because of a health pandemic.

  1. The Mayor and all Councilors participating in the meeting can hear one another and can hear all

discussion.

  1. Attendance by the public is not feasible due to the health pandemic.
  2. At least one member of the City Council is physically present at the regular meeting, unless

unfeasible due to the health pandemic.

  1. All votes are conducted by roll call so each members’ vote on each issue can be identified and

recorded.

ROLL CALL/CALL TO ORDER

 

NEW BUSINESS

  1. Consider the petition from Jace Baldwin, on behalf of Northern Border Investment, LLC to vacate the 18 ft. wide alley lying adjacent to the west line of Block 4, plat of Franson’s Addition to Koochiching (Council action)
  2. If petition is accepted, appointment of three disinterested freeholders of the City, no two of whom shall reside in the same ward, as Commissioners to view the premises and to ascertain and award the amount of damages and compensation to be paid to the owner of the property (Council action)
